About Us

Friends of Baker Park, Inc., is a non-profit, volunteer-staffed community service organization dedicated to fostering community involvement with Frederick City Government in the preservation, restoration, use, and maintenance of Baker Park.

Projects include:

  • Park Bench Donation Program
  • Tree Donation Program
  • Trash Receptacle Program (discontinued)
  • Planting and Weeding Projects
  • Picnic Pavilion Program
  • Upgrades to Child Play Areas
  • Masterplan and Stormwater Mitigation Plan for Culler Lake Area
  • Holiday Park Decorating
  • Public Education
  • Annual Green Neighbor Forum

Friends of Baker Park, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-staffed community service organization committed to continually working toward a sustainable park environment through preservation, restoration, use, and maintenance of Baker Park in partnership with the community and Frederick City government.

Additionally, Friends of Baker Park, Inc. has exclusive legal control over the entire contribution, which is given irrevocably and without obligation. Pursuant to section 170(f)(8) of the Internal Revenue Code, you as the donor did not receive any goods or services in exchange for this donation.
